Terms of Service
Last updated 21 September 2026
These terms cover your use of clipworker. They apply from the moment you first sign in to an account we have set up for you.
What the service does
You upload a recording and either describe the moment you want or let us choose. We transcribe it, pick the moments worth keeping, reframe each one so the speaker stays in shot, burn in captions, apply your workspace’s brand kit, and give you the clips to download. One upload can produce up to five separate clips, and each can be exported as 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9. A finished clip can be trimmed shorter afterwards.
Accounts and workspaces
- There is no public sign-up. We create each account and give you the sign-in details. You cannot register yourself, and we may decline to open an account.
- You must be at least 16 to use clipworker.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
- An account belongs to a workspace, and a workspace is shared. Everyone in it sees the same clip library and the same brand kit, and anyone in it can permanently delete a clip. Owners and admins can invite and remove people and change the brand kit. Ask us to add or remove someone.
The footage you upload
This is the part that matters most, so it is stated plainly: you must have the right to use every video, image and piece of music you upload. That means you own it, or you have permission from whoever does, or its licence permits what you are doing. Where a recording features people, that includes having whatever permission you need from them.
Uploading someone else’s content without permission is your responsibility, not ours. If we receive a valid complaint from a rights holder we may remove the material and suspend the account.
You also agree not to upload material that:
- is unlawful, or depicts abuse of any kind
- contains sexual content involving minors — reported without exception
- is designed to harass, defame or impersonate someone
- you obtained by breaking into somewhere or someone’s account
Who owns the output
You do. We claim no rights over your uploads or the clips we produce from them. There is no watermark and no restriction on commercial use. We only process your files to provide the service.
Deleting a clip is permanent
Anyone in your workspace can delete a clip from the library. The video file is erased from storage straight away. It cannot be restored, by you or by us, and any link you have shared for it stops working. Download anything you want to keep before deleting it.
A deleted clip still counts toward the month’s allowance it was made under — we keep the record of the job, without the video, so the count stays honest. Deleting does not give a clip back.
Allowances and limits
Each workspace has a monthly clip allowance, agreed when the account is set up and shown in the app. A clip that fails to render costs nothing. Suggestions and trims do not count as new clips.
Uploads are capped at 1GB and 60 minutes per file, and the app tells you if a file is over. We may change these limits as the service develops.
Paying for it
There is no self-serve subscription today. We are not taking card payments and there is nothing to cancel. Access is arranged with you directly, and anything invoiced is covered by what we agree in writing at the time and by our refund policy. If we introduce paid plans we will say so here first, and we will not start charging an existing workspace without at least 30 days’ notice by email.
Availability
clipworker is early software. We do not promise a particular uptime, turnaround time, or that a clip will meet your expectations — the choice of moment is made by a model and will sometimes be wrong. Rendering times vary with the length and resolution of your video.
We may change or discontinue features. If we shut the service down we will give you reasonable notice and time to download your clips.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service in a way that degrades it for others, or attempts to circumvent limits. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.
Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost content, or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Ending it
Tell us and we will close your workspace and delete what it holds. You can ask for your clips first; anything older than 30 days will already have been removed by the retention rule described in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes here and update the date above. For material changes we will email you.
